More than 500 people came to Bradford on Avon’s Lamb Yard on Friday, to celebrate the first anniversary of the Made in Bradford on Avon community shop.
The party included a bar and a barbeque, with residents, business owners and town councillors coming together, and Jim Lynch of the Bradford on Avon Community Area Network cutting the cake.
Director of Made in Bradford on Avon, Wellie O’Driscoll, said: “It went above and beyond our expectations, we never expected to see so many people come down for a shop’s birthday party.
"People brought their families, friends and dogs, and we had people here of all ages.
“In the next year we want to focus on the community aspect of the shop, with apprenticeships and mentoring, to really help get people back into employment.”
