Winsley Post Office in the Co-operative store will close on November 5 for two days to undergo a change into a new style ‘local’ service.
The service will be provided at a combination counter in the Co-op on Tyning Road. The post office terminal will sit alongside the shop till.
It will be open during the store’s hours of Monday to Sunday: 6am to 10pm, which is an extra 66 hours a week.
The office closes at 5.30pm on November 5 and reopens at 1pm on November 7.
Alan Ridoutt, area manager, said: “We know how important post office services are to residents in Winsley and we are confident this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the community will be popular.
“The modernisation is part of a major Government investment enabling us to continue investing in the Post Office network.”
