POLICE are appealing to the public for help in finding a 64-year-old woman who has gone missing from Holt in Bradford on Avon.

Susan Timbrell was last seen at 9.30am on Tuesday by her husband as he left for work. When he returned home later that day at 4.30pm she had gone missing and he contacted the police.

Mrs Timbrell has been suffering from depression and takes medication that she urgently needs. Police are very concerned for her welfare and have been conducting searches in the local area, including searching rivers earlier this week.

She is described as 5ft3 tall, slim build with very short dark hair. She also wear glasses. It is not known what she was wearing when she went missing but she may have been wearing a brown coat with a fur collar and brown boots.

Mrs Timbrell did not take her bag with her so she may not have any money or identification with her.

It is believed that she left the house on foot.

Inspector Pete Chamberlain said: "We are very concerned for Susan's safety and we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen her walking out of the Holt village on Tuesday.

"We have been conducting thorough searches in the area but we now need the public's help in finding Susan.

"Her family are very distressed and if anyone has any information we would urge them to come forward."
