WILTSHIRE Heights Care Home is in a celebratory mood after securing a new and improve 'Good' care quality commission rating this week.

Residents, relatives and staff at the Bradford on Avon care home, of Berryfield Road, held a celebratory lunch on Tuesday afternoon to toast the good news alongside MP for Bradford on Avon Michelle Donelan.

Last October the home was placed in special measures and rated as 'Inadequate' by the CQC but that is no longer the case.

Home Manager Sharon Adams said, "I am thrilled that the inspection outcome has reflected the hard work and commitment of the team here.

"They are such a caring and dedicated bunch and every day, they come to work with a shared goal which is, to ensure the comfort and dignity of all our residents, and they do it exceptionally well."

Ms Donelan added: "I enjoyed spending time at Wiltshire Heights care home and I am delighted that their rating has improved to Good. It was lovely to chat to the residents and get an insight into life there.”
