PASSENGERS will face temporary changes to their bus service in Bradford on Avon as the Holt Road gets set to partially open tomorrow.

The road, which has been closed since the start of May, will be opened up to its eastern junction with Springfields to allow two-way traffic under lights from 7.30am.

Woolley Street, Woolley Terrace and Cemetery Lane will also reopen completely.

Wiltshire Council added that from tomorrow for two weeks, traffic will not be able to turn right from Springfield on to Holt Road or Silver Street.

As a result, the 265 First bus travelling from Bath will need to use Masons Lane instead and so will not be able serve the bus stops along Springfield or Mount Pleasant.

The nearest bus stop to Springfield for these buses will therefore be at Christchurch.

Buses operating towards Bath will not be affected by these works, so will continue to pick up at bus stops along Springfield as normal.

Posters explaining the temporary arrangements have now been placed at bus stops along Springfield and Mount Pleasant.
