BRADFORD on Avon's Flower Show is branching out once again as a record number of categories will grace this year's event on Sunday.
A total of 96 different competitions will run at St Margaret's Hall from 2-4pm, showcasing the most impressive homegrown, plants and fruit and vegetables from local gardeners.
Cllr John Potter, who helped to re-launch the show six years ago, said he could not wait to see the varied entries on display.
"It should be a jolly good day out. I am sure it will once again be a great competition showcasing the best people have to offer," he said.
"I am really looking forward to this great community event. I am entering the hottest chilli competition which should be fun too.
"This year we are working with the arts festival and their outer space theme, so we are asking for people to come up with their best space alien from vegetables, which should be a laugh."
