Hundreds turned out for Chippenham's Christmas lights switch on last night with Red Dwarf star Chris Barrie doing the honours alongside Santa.
The town was buzzing all day with a market running from the morning, street entertainers, music and laughter.
The Christmas spirit continues today with a torchlight procession starting from island Park at 4pm and walking to the Market Place where there will be carols around the tree with music from Chippenham Town Band.
