The Corsham detachment of Wiltshire’s Army Cadet Force joined the Air Training Corps in the town centre on November 10 to raise money for the Royal British Legion. The money cadets raised will help to provide advice and support to serving members of the armed forces and to veterans.
The detachment recently moved into a new building at the MoD Rudloe site in Westwells Road and is now recruiting. Led by Colour Sergeant Mark Perrett, it meets on Thursdays, from 7-9pm.
He said: “We welcome boys and girls from the age of 12, and in at least Year 8 at school, of all abilities and backgrounds, and through a broad range of exciting, challenging, educational and adventu- rous activities, help them develop physically, mentally and socially.” For more details, see http://armycadets.com/county/wiltshireacf/ or call 07725 229667.
