Corsham's Christmas lights will be switched on tomorrow with the festive fun starting just after 5pm and the lights due to be switched on at 6pm.
In keeping with tradition, it’s the pupil who designs the winning Christmas card in the annual schools competitor who gets the honour. The design is also used on the town council’s official cards.
The seasonal celebrations started last Saturday when children were invited to make a wish at the High Street wishing tree. Wishes were written and popped inside a bauble and hung ready for Father Christmas to collect.
Santa and his reindeer will also be making a special appearance at the lights switch-on and entertainment and music will be provided by Corsham Windband, Corsham Coral and Pound Sound.
There will also be a Christmas market, donkeys and fairground rides.
Corsham Town Council chairman Ruth Hopkinson said: “It has a complete buzz about it.
"We usually have hundreds of people coming along. Everyone who comes says how good it is.”
