Police are hunting a man after the theft of a vacuum cleaner from the Leekes store in Melksham.
Just before 3pm on December 1, a man entered the store and selected a vacuum cleaner from the display. He then left the shop without making any attempt to pay for the item.
The man was challenged by staff and the cleaner was later found abandoned in the car park.
Police have now issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.
Anyone who can identify the man pictured, or who has information about the incident, is being urged to contact local crime investigator Tim Bennett on the 101 police hotline.
Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where details can be left anonymously.
