A 26-year-old man who is accused of robbing a wheelchair-bound man faces trial by judge and jury.
Kelvin Gardner pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before a judge at Swindon Crown Court.
It is alleged that he took £30 in cash and a bag from Martyn King in an alleged incident in Trowbridge on Monday, June 16.
Gardner, of Arundel Close, Westbury, denied the allegation and Judge Peter Blair QC adjourned the case to a trial date to be fixed.
He released him on bail on condition he does not go to Shaftesbury Court, the care home where the alleged victim has lived for the past two years.
Mr King, 24, was travelling through an alleyway leading to the home from Manor Road, Trowbridge, when he was approached by a man who threatened to punch him, before stealing his bum bag containing £30.
Mr King has been wheelchair-bound for nine years ago following an illness.
