ALMOST 3,000 homes in Trowbridge and Warminster were left without power today.
Residents were left without power from 2.30pm, with around 2,800 homes returning to normal about 40 minutes later.
Approximately 200 homes in Trowbridge on the Poplars, Silver Meadows and Frome Road remain without power which is expected to return at 5.30pm.
A spokesperson for Southern Electric said: “We aim to get the remainder of these homes on by 5.30pm.
“We think the power cut was caused due to a problem with two transformers in the area of these streets but we will look for faults once we have all the power back on.
“We’d like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience and annoyance this has caused.”
