A DECISION on plans to build 210 houses on the Hilperton Gap have been delayed after Wiltshire Council granted an extension for developers to provide extra information on the application.

Councillors were due to decide in May but the application extension has been granted until May 6. Once additional information has been submitted, a further 21 day consultation with residents will be carried out allowing them to submit extra comments.

Developers Framptons held a public exhibition earlier this year which was met with much opposition from residents in the area, many citing concerns include access onto the new road and potential flooding.

Cllr Ernie Clark said therefore no recommendation will be made until mid June at the very earliest with the Spatial Planning Committee looking at it after that.
