POLICE investigating an assault in Trowbridge back in June are calling on the public's help in finding the culprits.

A 29-year-old man sustained eye and head injuries following the incident which occurred in Jenkins Street at around 10.25pm on June 17.

It is believed approximately five men were involved in the assault on the man and officers investigating the incident have since arrested a 26-year-old man of no fixed abode on suspicion of assault.

PC Mark Hough said: “Extensive enquiries have been carried out in relation to this incident since we received the initial report and progress has been made – one man has been arrested in relation to the incident and released on bail pending further enquiries.

“However, we believe there were a number of people involved in this attack and we are keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident. We believe there were a couple of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have some information which could help our enquiries.
