THE gates of 12 beautiful gardens across Trowbridge will be open to the public next weekend.
Keen gardener and event coordinator Sally Taylor, is hoping plant and flower lovers will jump at the chance to see some of the town's most beautiful private gardens.
She said: “A lot of work goes into making some of these gardens a showpiece and it’s a chance for visitors to take a look at our handiwork.
"Everyone who is opening their garden is very proud to show it off because everyone is showing something different," she added.
Mrs Taylor will be opening up her own garden in Victoria Gardens and providing refreshments to the public.
She added: "In terms of putting the open gardens together, I go around the town on my bike and see what ones are nice and ask the owner if they would like to take part. I'm really pleased when they agree."
Organised by Trowbridge in Bloom, the free day, from 11am-5pm, will feature gardens around the town including in Worsted Close, Hilperton Road and Upper Alma Street.
