Branch Members and some of their friends recently enjoyed an interesting and informative day out with an excursion to Windsor and Runnymede. Their driver, Nick of Real Coaches, first took the party to Windsor for an enjoyable cruise on the Thames which took in the views of Windsor Race Course, Eton College and Windsor Castle. . amongst other places of interest. Following the cruise The group then moved on to visit Saville Gardens and Virginia Waters which are both situated in Windsor Great Park and where we stopped for lunch. Finally they coach party went on to visit the RAF Memorial at Runnymede.
As most of our readers will know The Armed Forces weekend was held during the June on 24/25. It was very well attended and I and the rest of the RAFA members would like to thank everyone who attended all of the people who attended our stall and helped towards raising funds for our charity. In a very short time we had sold out of ducks and those cute little teddy bears!! However, some of those attending had the honour of winning one of our larger teddies. Once again our thanks to you all.
