POLICE have released formal identification of the woman who died following a car crash on the A36 near Codford on Tuesday, July 5.

Dee Fry, aged 54, from the Bathampton area, was driving a red Mini Cooper shortly before 9.30am, near to the junction with the A303, when she collided with a Vauxhall Insignia.

The driver of the Vauxhall, from the Warminster area, sustained leg injuries and was airlifted to hospital where she remains.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the red Mini Cooper shortly beforehand is asked to contact Sgt Steve Love at the Tri-Force Specialist Operations Roads Policing Unit on 101.
