PUPILS at Warminster School reaped the reward of their hard work today as they collected their A-level results today (Thursday, August 18).
The majority of pupils have secured a place at their first choice of university to study the courses they want with Exeter, Southampton and Loughborough being popular choices.
Edinburgh, Reading and Royal Holloway are also common destinations.
Individuals who excelled include local boys Tom Stanton, with three A*s and an A grade and James Arter with A*, A, B, as well as Cathy Jian who achieved two A*s, an A and a B.
Mr Stanton has secured a place to read Physics at Edinburgh, while Mr Arter and Miss Jian have been accepted to read Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics respectively at Southampton University.
Head master Mark Mortimer said: “What matters to me is not the number of A* grades but the number of pupils who have given their all, achieved the best results of which they were capable and are off to do what is right for them, be that a highly academic subject at a top university or a vocational course.
“I am equally proud of all of them.”
