THE Minster Primary School received a £200 donation to enhance its breakfast club with brand new equipment after winning a competition.

The school, which is a member of the Kellogg’s Breakfast Club network, was one of 200 schools from across the UK selected to receive the breakfast boost.

The school entered a competition which was featured in the cereal company’s Breakfast Club e-newsletter, which provides resources to ensure the sustainability of the club.

Headteacher Lisa Tudor said: “We are so grateful to receive this generous donation. The children will be discussing what resources they would like to purchase for our club.

“The resources will help us to provide our breakfast club services for our children and their families thanks to the support from Kellogg’s.”

Kate Prince, corporate social responsibility manager at Kellogg’s, said: “We believe all children should have the opportunity to start the day with breakfast, but equipment and resources are just as important to clubs as the food itself.

“We’re proud to be able to support so many schools across the UK.”
