PUPILS at Bitham Brook Primary School enjoyed discovering what it means to be British during the school’s ‘British Values Day' on Friday.
Exploring great British inventions, tasting traditional British food including haggis, dressing up as The Queen and drawing pictures of things typically British such as jars of Marmite were just a few of learning activities on the day.
MP Dr Andrew Murrison paid a visit and talked to children about what it means to be an MP and how democracy works.
He then answered some tough questions from the children including his thoughts on Donald Trump, Brexit, his favourite Disney film and the quality of food in the House of Commons.
Headteacher David Ross said: “This was a fantastic way of finding out all about our British values including respect, democracy, rule of law and liberty and what is best about being British. We have all learned so much.”
