A Westbury pharmacy is encouraging people across the county to spring clean their medicine cabinets in a campaign to improve patient health.

Residents can take unwanted or out-of-date medicines to Medicx Pharmacy in White Horse Health Centre and receive a free Medicine Usage Review in return.

The MUR is allows patients to discuss their medicines with a specifically trained advisor.

Medicx Pharmacy wants to highlight the role prescription medicines play in a person’s health and emphasise the importance of taking medicines correctly.

Manager Ester Hayward said: “Spring cleaning is popular at this time of year, but most of us forget to clear out our medicines.

“We’re encouraging our patients to bring them in so we can ensure their medication works for them.”
