POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information about the fatal crash on Friday night.

A spokesman said: “We would like to thank those people who have come forward with information to help our inquiries.

“If anyone else has any additional information then we do encourage them to come forward.”

Quartermaster Road in Westbury was closed for seven hours while emergency services, including the serious collision investigation team, investigated the crash.

The crash scene is just yards from Club Ice and on Friday revellers leaving the club gathered by the police cordon, unaware of how serious the crash was. Many of them returned in the days after to leave floral tributes.

More than 120 bouquets have been left at the scene including many cans and bottles of alcohol left by family and friends.

Fireworks and lanterns were set off at the crash site in tribute to the youngsters.

Last night a candlelit vigil was held on the green near Navigator Close in Hilperton by Jordan Taylor and Nathan Cox’s close family and friends.

South West Ambulance service said seven vehicles attended the scene including three rapid response units, two double-crewed ambulances, an officer and a doctor.

A fire crew from Trowbridge and one from Westbury was called to the crash, along with the new Heavy Rescue Unit from Trowbridge.

Firefighters used the HRU to lift the back of the lorry up so the car could be extracted. They remained at the scene until 4.20am.
