THE opening of Westbury’s new youth club has been delayed due to a lack of volunteers expressing an interest.
It was initially scheduled to launch on Wednesday, September 14 but the date has now been put back until volunteers come forward.
Leigh Park Community Centre Manager Debbie Cole said: “It is unfortunate that we have had to delay the launch of the youth club, but I am confident that volunteers will come forward even if it is taking a little longer than anticipated.
“The equipment has been bought and we are ready to run the sessions for ages 11 to 18 as soon as volunteers come forward and are DBS checked.”
If you are interested in volunteering at the youth club, which is to be held at Leigh Park Community Centre on Wednesdays from 4.30pm - 6.30pm for ages 11 to 13 and 7pm - 9pm for ages 14 to 18, contact Mrs Cole on 01373 825774.
