A POPULAR saxophone playing quartet are set to take the Edington Priory Church by storm next month.
Marici Saxes, comprising the classically-trained foursome of Sarah Field, Fiona Asbury, Hannah Riches and Josie Simmons, will play the church on Saturday, October 15 at 7.30pm.
They play a mixture of soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones and will play a huge range of music at the concert from tango to folk, and ‘serious’ classical to jazz.
They have just completed their first CD, recorded in Wiltshire, and are already picking up interest in London and further afield.
Tickets are £20 front nave, £15 rear nave and £10 sides, with a 10 per cent discount offered to Edington Angels, people aged 18 and below go free.
