DILTON Marsh’s popular scarecrow trail is set to return and organisers are hoping for another big turnout.

This year, the fourth year the three-day family event has run, scarecrow hunters will scour the village for Disney-themed scarecrows between Saturday, May 27 and Monday, May 29.

Money raised from the event will go towards funding new play equipment at Dilton Marsh Primary School, as it has done every year.

Pauline Frogatt, of Friends of Dilton Marsh School (FODS), said: “It’s always great fun and brings the community together.

“We find that people from other villages as well as from Dilton Marsh come along too which proves how popular it is, and numbers have grown every year.

“The scarecrows have already been designed and there will be a prize for the one which is designed in the best way.

“It will be up to the families taking part to work out which Disney character each scarecrow is supposed to be.”

Entry forms can be picked up from Dilton Marsh Primary School, Crowning Glory hairdressers or Fairfield Farm College.
