A PATIENT recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumour has launched a fundraising event in Westbury to raise money for Brain Tumour Support.
Robin-Mark Schols is organising the Hilly Helmet Challenge, a four-mile fun run while wearing a helmet.
Mr Schols, a keen runner, had to wear a helmet after his second lifesaving operation, and wanted other runners to experience what it felt like.
The event is on August 16 and runners will meet at Leighton Recreation Centre on Wellhead Lane.
To sign up, visit www.entrycentral.com/thehillyhelmetchallenge.
There will be prizes for the first man and woman across the line and best helmet. Beer and food will be served afterwards.
Fancy dress in the charity’s colours, dark red, blue and white, is encouraged.
Entry fees start at £9. Sign up at www.entrycentral.com/thehillyhelmetchallenge.
