THE grand reopening of Morrisons in Westbury took place this week after the store underwent some mayor refurbishments.
The reopening was a big event, with a raffle to win a cake in aid of CLIC Sargent, a charity which supports young people with cancer.
Gordon King, the mayor of Westbury and his wife attended, along with 58-year-old Jeannette Hume, the longest serving employee who worked at the store for 38 years.
Free goody bags and samples were given out.
Store manager Martin Edwards said: “All of the staff have been working so hard the last few weeks, and it all paid off when we were able to re-open the store.
“Customers now have an improved shopping experience with all the new features and new arrangement of the store.”
The store has had a complete revamp, with a new create your own pizza bar, an extended fresh and frozen range of Free From foods, more self scanners, upgraded toilets and more.
