Girls from Trowbridge, Devizes, Westbury and Warminster were among the 100 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides who met Sophie, the Countess of Wessex last Thursday.
Gathering at their county headquarters in Berwick St James to mark the Brownies’ 100th birthday, the youngsters prepared craft, cooking and archery activities for the Countess, who is the President of Girlguiding.
Greeted by flag-waving Rainbows, she toured the campsite before helping to make a giant Brownie birthday cake.
She then took part in a campfire singalong and an archery session and made campfire bread, called dampers, before watching dancing by the Rainbows.
