INTERNATIONALLY-known trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins is to play for Edington Arts in October.
The international virtuoso musician is one of the world’s best-known classical trumpeters, having played in the world’s greatest concert halls, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, as well as working in TV and film for many years.
He has played for no fewer than six James Bond films, and it is he who plays the theme tune to the BBC’s Antiques Road Show among many others.
Now he is coming to play for Edington Arts in the Priory Church on Saturday, October 7 in a concert which starts at 7.30pm and which will include famous trumpet works by Haydn, Mozart and Handel as well as some well-known contemporary music from Bert Bacharach and Howard Goodall.
Accompanied by organist Ian leGrice, Mr Steele-Perkins is also a collector of antique trumpets and will be giving a demonstration on how they were played.
Tickets are £20 front nave, £15, rear nave and £10 sides: 18 and under come free, and Edington Angels have a 10% discount on ticket prices. If you buy on the door on the night, please add £2 per ticket.
