Castle Place Shopping Centre in Trowbridge has had a facelift as part of an ongoing refurbishment project.
The work, which started in 2011, has seen owner Legal & General property spend around £300,000 on new flooring, lighting and decorating.
As part of the programme, the centre has become more environmentally friendly, reducing its electrical consumption by 50 per cent and its water use by 45 per cent.
Legal & General, owners of Trowbridge’s St Stephen’s Place Leisure Centre which opened in November, have worked with property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle to carry out the project.
Tim Russell, Legal & Gen-eral Property’s senior asset manager, said: “This phase has helped to regenerate this historic site and we hope, along with the St Stephen’s Place development, that we’ve been able to make a difference to the local area and encouraged further regeneration of the town centre.”
The next phase will see Castle Place Shopping Centre refurbish facades overlooking Trowbridge Park through external redecoration and lighting upgrades.
