A man was sentenced to 46 months imprisonment for burglaries from Centre Parcs in Warminster and a number of other offences at Salisbury Crown Court last Friday.

Aiden Samuel Phipps-Lang, 26, of New Kings Street, Bath, admitted eight burglaries, which occurred in April and May last year, from chalets in Centre Parcs Longleat Forest.

He stole items such as laptops, cameras, tablet devices, games consoles, bags and mobile phones, with the total loss estimated at £21,600.

He was also sentenced for contempt of court after he failed to appear when directed in September, dangerous driving, attempting to pervert the course of justice for giving false details when arrested in Bath in December and a theft.

DC Nick Holt, from the Salisbury Priority Crime Team, who led the investigation, said: “These burglaries caused a great deal of distress to the victims who were hoping to enjoy family holidays at the location.

“I would like to thank Centre Parcs for their assistance with my investigation and the added support they gave the victims.

“I hope that this sentence will act as a deterrent for other offenders and highlight to victims of crimes that we are committed to bringing these people to justice.”
