TWO friends from Westbury who are gearing up to walk the majority of the Great Wall of China in aid of a Winchester-based hospice have stepped up their fundraising efforts.
Alison Bell, 52, and Tracey Owen, 49, held a jumble sale on Saturday to take their total amount raised so far to £1,600 - all of which has been donated directly to the hospice.
The two mums also completed a sponsored run along with members of the Westbury gym which Mrs Bell owns, called Dynamik Bodyz.
Mrs Bell said: "Both events were really good fun, we were the largest team at the run.
"We're now going to step up our training ahead of the Great Wall walk - we're both looking forward to it."
They will walk along the Great Wall of China in May next year to raise money for Naomi house & Jacksplace Hospice, which provides care to more than 280 life-limited children and their extended families from Wiltshire and neighbouring counties.
