WESTBURY councillor Francis Morland will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court for refusing to allow engineers on to his land following a major power cut that affected many homes in Chapmanslade.
He was arrested by police on August 18 last year at Row Farm Nursery, Chapmanslade for intentionally obstructing Nigel Frost, an officer from Southern Electric, exercising powers of entry under schedule six to the Electricity Act 1989.
The 73-year-old, of Dead Maids Close, Bath Road, pleaded not guilty to the charge back in December and his case at Salisbury Magistrates on Monday was adjourned.
On Monday, Morland represented himself and he will cross-examine some people who will act as witnesses.
His case will be held in Swindon Magistrates on August 9.
