An event to celebrate the life of former West Wilt-shire district councillor Mary Stacey will be held in the new Trowbridge Civic Centre.
Mrs Stacey died on October 8 at the age of 80, but two months later the event is due to be held at the centre in St Stephen’s Place on December 11 from 2.30pm until 5.30pm.
The celebration will include singing, music and tributes. Friends, family and former colleagues are all invited.
Mrs Stacey had served Trowbridge Town Council for more than 20 years and became chairman of the now defunct West Wiltshire District Council.
Anyone or any organisation wishing to contribute to the celebration of her life should contact Mrs Stacey’s daughter Jane Fox on 01384 839389 so that a detailed programme can be arranged.
Those wishing to attend should contact Trowbridge Town Council by December 5 on 01225 765072.
