A WORKING 1920s steam engine from the Severn Valley Railway in Worcestershire is on display at Bradford on Avon train station car park today and tomorrow.

The engine, which was last brought to Wiltshire for the Brunel anniversary event in Box, was picked up at Kidderminster by a low-loader and brought by road to Wiltshire.

It will form part of an event to celebrate the train station's 150th anniversary.

Lesley Harris, Bradford on Avon station master David Walden and Mike Jacobs were the driving force behind this anniversary event, which was funded by more than 2,000 worth of grants.

In addition to the visit of the steam train there will be a railway exhibition and stalls.

Admission is free and the event will run from 10am to 5pm today and tomorrow.
