FIND out for yourself why so many bands through the years have cited The Zombies as one of their major musical influences, as original members Colin Blunstone and Rod Agent come to the west with their current tour, riding high on the back of the success of the re-release of classic Zombies song Time of the Season featured in the advertising campaign for Magners Cider.

The duo, who have been touring together abroad and in the UK for some time and will join a compete Zombies revival in London next spring, play Swindon Arts Club on Friday May 25 and the Cheese And Grain, Frome, on Sunday May 27.

Tickets for Friday's gig, at £17, are available from (01793) 614837. Tickets for Sunday's gig are available from (01373) 455768, £13 in advance or £15 on the door.

There's a real feast of top music in Frome this weekend, for UK Guns N Roses tribute band are also at the Cheese and Grain on Saturday May 26.

The band return to the venue following two scintillating performances there last year, and if you caught them then you'll know exactly why they are regarded as one of the best tribute bands in the country.

From singer Dave Reilly's astonishingly Axl-esque vocals to lead guitarist Flash's blinding guitar solos, the songs are performed with an amazing degree of accuracy. The band also draw on the best of GnR's live performances to produce an explosive, visually compelling live show.

All the classics are lovingly and accurately replicated, from Sweet Child O' Mine, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City right through to the phenomenal hits like November Rain, Estranged and Civil War. Tickets for Saturday are £12 on the door.
