THE Subsidiary Cup has made a return to the league calendar for the first time since the 2003/04 season when Biddestone Social were the last team to win the competition.

The cup is being run on a league basis, made up of four groups of three, who play each other home and away with the winners of each group going through to the semi-finals. The competition kicks off with a match from Group A and D.

The opening Group A fixture see’s the top two sides in Division Four face each other with second-placed Old Road hosting leaders FC North Wiltshire.

The latter may just have the edge as they have taken three points out of their hosts this term, but both teams have been in good form of late so it wouldn’t be a surprise if things ended all square once again.

First division Prestige Bodyworks kick off their Group D campaign at home to second division Kings Arms (All Cannings).

Jim Wilson’s Kings Arms side looked rusty and ragged in last week's 1-1 draw away at Miller Sports, but will have shaken out the cobwebs and should do better against a struggling Prestige side, who have failed to deliver in the two outing since they beat high flying Corsham United 3-1.
