LAST season’s beaten presstoprint-sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout Cup finalists Bug & Spider should have few problems in getting over the fist hurdle in the bid to reach a third successive final.
The Premier Division side, who lifted the cup in 2012, suffered a 4-2 defeat to Biddestone Social back in April but this terms cup run should start with a convincing win away at fourth division strugglers Cavalier.
Having watched their first string suffer a cup exit at home to Bradford Renegades last weekend, it will be the turn of White Horse (Sunday) B this Sunday to try and book themselves a spot in the final 32.
The Westbury-based side host fellow fourth division newcomers Melksham Forest Community Centre and what should be a close match may just go the way of the home team, but it may need extra time for them to get over the line.
