MELKSHAM Cosmos take on FC North Wiltshire at the Conigre on Sunday morning looking for a victory that would see them extend their stay at the top of the Division Three table.

Cosmos, who suffered two defeats at the hands of their guests last term, had no answer to the Division Four champions, but this season fortunes seem to be reversed as North Wilts have won one from three, while Cosmos have a 100 per cent record to date.

Despite having home advantage for their latest game, basement side Christian Malford will find it hard to open their account for the season when they host a Sportzcoach Dragonz United side who have won their only league outing to date and sit third in the standings.

If things go to form Sportzcoach should have few problems in taking the spoils to leave their hosts even at this early stage of proceedings with a relegation battle on their hands.

A vastly-improved Wren side from that of the previous two seasons will travel to Nurstead Road, Devizes looking to pick up a second win of the season, with Tim Chilton’s Crossblades side standing in their way from taking another three points.

North Star B look to as if they have recovered from their opening day loss to Melksham Cosmos, an 11-0 win over Pig & Whistle United and last weeks Knock Out Cup success against Sportzcoach Dragonz setting them up nicely for their meeting with Old Road FC, who go into the game on the back of two league defeats.

After their disastrous start to the campaign that saw them suffer heavy defeats to Wren FC and North Star B, Melksham based Pig & Whistle United look to be heading in the right direction following victories over Old Road and Christian Malford.

Richard Allen’s side take on Trowbridge Town Supporters Club, bidding for a third straight win and they will have to raise their game another notch if they are to get it at Kevin Williams Town side ought to claim maximum points.
