TROWBRIDGE Rangers got the better of their locally-based rivals The Stiffs to win their Division Three derby day duel at the Stallards in Trowbridge 3-2.

Both sides huffed and puffed in a unrewarding first 45 minutes before Trowbridge took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Tom Doveton and Ben Forester.

Dave Carroll halved the deficit for the Stiffs only for Jordan Field to find a third for Rangers.

Adam Freeland set up a fantastic climax as he got Stiffs back in the game on 83 minutes, but Ade Giles side were unable to conjure up an equaliser as James Goddard’s side held out to claim maximum points for a third time this term.

Polenez Westbury 1 Zeals FC 3

ZEALS put last week's defeat against Lamb Reserves behind them as they traveled to Leighton Sports Centre and had a profitable day at Polenez Westbury to claim their third win in nine outings.

James Weeks saw his first half opener for Zeals cancelled out by Sebastian Uszpelkat, but his goal for Polenez was just a consolation as a second from Weeks regained the lead for Zeals.

The points were secured by Weeks who bagged his and Zeals third of the afternoon to give them their 3-1 success.
