BOSS Mark Collier wants to bring Luke Hopper back to Chippenham Town and is playing the waiting game as the striker awaits international clearance.

Former Swindon Supermarine and Hungerford Town man Hopper, 24, had a spell at Hardenhuish Park back in 2007 and spent the majority of last year plying his trade in Australia for Danedong Thunder and South Melbourne.

Collier is hopeful that the striker, who trained with the Bluebirds last week, will be given the green light to feature in their home clash with Corby Town next weekend.

Meanwhile, midfielder Jake Simpson has returned to the Chippenham squad after being dropped for breaching club discipline.

Simpson was due to play a part in last weekend's postponed trip to Arlesey Town.

Forward Lloyd Macklin, who was also left out of the Bluebirds squad for last week's victories over Weymouth and St Neots Town, parted company with the club last Thursday.
