CALNE rivals Wren FC and North Star B will be looking forward to their meeting at Beversbrook this weekend.

The latter go into their derby-day showdown on the back of a 10-0 win over a 10-man Worton & Cheverell (Sunday) side and, having already beaten Matt Fenn’s side 3-1 in December, and what should be a good game is tipped to go the Star’s way again.

Christian Malford, currently in third spot, will move joint second if they can beat Crossblades FC for a second time this term when they lock horns at Kington Langley at the weekend.

Goals from Scott Evans and Matt Thompson earned Malford a 2-0 win over their guests when they previously met.

Relegation battlers FC North Wiltshire are going to have to pull of one of the results of season if they are going to have any chance of avoiding a second defeat at the hands of leaders Melksham Cosmos.

North Wilts go into the game having won two of their last four games as they battle to beat the drop, but they are unlikely get any joy from a side who beat them 3-1 in the reverse fixture.

Since beating Old Road FC 4-2 at the start of December, Trowbridge Town Supporters Club and their Stanley Park hosts have seen limited action.

The supporters will look to give their manager Kevin Williams a late New Year gift of three points as he continues his rehabilitation after a heart operation towards the end of last year.
