BRADFORD Town were crowned champions of the Toolstation League First Division after victory at Chard Town last night.
Paul Shanley’s side suffered a shock defeat at Wincanton Town last week and were held to a 1-1 draw by Wellington on Saturday but a 2-1 triumph in Somerset sealed the title for Bradford.
Striker Sam Jordan hit his 73rd goal of the season whilst second top-scorer Dan King was also on target for Shanley’s champions.
Meanwhile, Corsham Town were unable to prevent Shepton Mallet from sealing second-place and automatic promotion to the Premier Division as their 15-match unbeaten run came to an end in a 3-1 defeat.
