FOLLOWING three consecutive victories, the county boys U10s fell to a big defeat against Berkshire on Sunday.

Wiltshire struggled to 61-9 and in defending their total could only take three wickets to leave Berkshire with a seven-wicket win.

It was a similar story for the U11s who conceded a massive 279-3 against Somerset on Sunday.

In reply, Wiltshire never got close as they were bowled out for 128, with Harvey Vellacott scoring 27.

There was also defeat for the boys U14s on Sunday, against Berkshire by 185 runs. Berkshire posted 289-9, with Jayden Atkinson picking up 2-38, but Wiltshire could only muster 104 all out, Charlie Slade with 36.

The boys U17s were in action against Isle of Wight in both a two-day and one-day match last week.

In the two-dayer they won by an innings and 74 runs as the Isle managed 168 all out, David West taking 3-53. Wiltshire posted 369-8 declared with 115 from Will Thomas, 58 for Lachlan Beggs and 77 from Sam Tuttle.

Isle’s second innings saw them dismissed for 127, with West taking 5-25.

In the one-day match, Wiltshire recorded a 118-run triumph, posting 287-5, with Will Wade scoring 114 not out, Beggs 51 and Thomas 55.

The Isle were bowled out for 169 with three wickets apiece for Tom Lewis and Will Arney.

The girls U17s had a seven-wicket win over Worcestershire, who scored 147-9 with two wickets for both Lucy Farrant and Lily Day.

Wiltshire’s chase was led by Elizabeth Bools (50) as they reached their total for the loss of just three wickets.

There was T20 success for the women on Sunday as they beat Dorset by 42 runs, posting 80-9 and then bowling Dorset out for 38, Pippa Brown, Freya Bollen and Katherine Mills all taking two wickets.

The T20 against Buckinghamshire ended in defeat by eight wickets as Wiltshire could only post 82 all out.
