HOLDERS Corsham CC Wildcats hosted The Grapes United bidding to book a place in the semi-finals of this term's competition.

Wildcats, who beat their guests 4-3 on the way to lifting the cup last season and also defeated them 3-1 in the Sunday Cup earlier this season, came on top once again thanks to a comprehensive 5-0 scoreline.

Lewis McCarron fired Wildcats in front, Mark Robinson doubled their advantage and a second from Robinson gave them a 3-0 interval lead.

Any hopes Grapes had of getting back into the tie were ended early in the second half when Robinson completed his hat-trick for 4-0 and Wildcats sealed their five-star quarter-final performance when Adam Mitchell found the net.

At the fourth time of asking, Devizes' Nurstead Road finally got to stage the long-overdue Knockout Cup second round tie between top flight Rowdy Cow Rowde and second division leaders The Dursley Arms.

Although Rowdy Cow led at the break the Dursley were able to turn things around to claim a 3-1 win and set up a meeting with a quarter-final showdown with Cavalier.

Jake Roberts first-half effort for Rowdy Cow was to count for nothing as Jordan Pinder restored parity for Dursley and Martin Johnson put them 2-1 up before a second from Pinder made the game safe.
