CUMBERWELL Park have added the chance of a £100,000 jackpot to one lucky player when they host the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour for a fourth year in succession in June.

The Bradford on Avon club have teamed up with Europe's third-tier tour for a new par-three challenge with the six-figure hole in one bonus.

Taking place on the club's new nine-hole par three course on Tuesday, June 27, the par-three challenge will see the winner take home £1,000.

The top 25 players will then be joined by the professional winner of the previous day's Cumberwell Park Pro-Am for a hole-in-one shoot out.

Hitting in order of finishing position in the par-three challenge each player will have one shot, with 170 yards to carry over water to the island green of the eighth hole.

If any player can ace the hole they will bring an end to proceedings and take home £100,000. In the event that no hole-in-one is made, the player nearest to the pin will win £1,000.

The contest will also be filmed for a special edition of the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour highlights show and will be shown on Sky Sports and networks covering 128 countries worldwide.

Cumberwell Park golf manager Ali James said: “The feedback we have had since opening the Par Three course has been fantastic and being able to host a Par Three tournament and Hole in One Shoot Out with the potential of someone winning £100,000 during the EuroPro week is really exciting for us, and will be another great opportunity to showcase it even further.

“It’s our fourth year on the EuroPro Tour schedule now and I think we have established ourselves as one of the most enjoyable venues for the Pros so what we are doing in conjunction with the EuroPro on this event will only enhance their experience when visiting Cumberwell.”

Daniel Godding, Director of Operations at the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour, said: “I’m thrilled to have added this par-three tournament to our schedule for 2017, with an incredible £100,000 tax free on offer for a hole in one.

“The par-three course at Cumberwell Park is absolutely fantastic and I’m excited to showcase it on a special episode of our highlights programme. I’m sure every player on the tour will enter our tournament at Cumberwell Park in the hope of taking home the £100,000.”

The main Cumberwell Park tournament, won last year by former European Tour player Stephen Dodd, takes place from June 28-30.
