BRADFORD Town manager Paul Shanley was delighted with his side’s fitness as they drew at Shrewton United on Tuesday.
“It’s very pleasing as there were a lot of plusses to take from the game,” he said.
“In the last 20 minutes we were virtually camped in their half and we dominated the game from start to finish. We created chance after chance and should have come away with three or four goals.”
The hosts took the lead in the first half, against the run of play.
Bradford pushed hard for an equaliser and were rewarded fifteen minutes from the end when Tom Rooney beat the keeper from 18 yards.
The draw means that Shanley’s side remain seventh in the First Division and they travel to Oldland Abbotonians on Saturday for the first of two successive league games against the Bristol side.
Jamie Jordan, Lee Salter, Jake Hiscocks and Gavin Eyre are all unavailable.
“We’ve got a strong squad so hopefully people can come in and take their chance,” said Shanley.
