SOUTH Wilts beat Chippenham by seven wickets to go top of the under 13s Red Division of the Wiltshire Youth Cricket League.

Guy Brothwood top scored with 54 and Alex Williams made an unbeaten 25 not out as Chippenham made 117 for three in their 35 overs. South Wilts made 121 for three in reply in 23.3 overs, with Jamie Smith (20) and Sam Pittman (39) the major contributors.

South Wilts (16 pts), Chippenham (3 pts) Craig Edwards turned in a fine all-round performance for Calne in their winning draw against Purton.

He top scored with 76 not out in a Calne total of 171 for five in 35 overs. Tom Richards added 45 and Craig Miles was the pick of the Purton bowlers, with figures of 7-1-31-3.

Edwards then took three for 13 off seven overs as Purton reached 117 for four in 35 overs in reply. Miles top scored with 68 not out.

Ravi Samant finished with figures of six for 18, including a hat-trick, to lead Wootton Bassett to a 43 run win over Cannings. Jack Dymoke (58) was top scorer for Wootton Bassett as they made 121 for eight. Cannings were 78 all out in reply.

Under 13s Blue Division

MALMESBURY beat Goatacre by 99 runs.

Robert Gillespie (30), Tom Dalley (52) and James Gillespie (30) were the major contributors in a Malmesbury total of 178 for seven in 35 overs. Brad Dawson, with figures of 7-1-28-2, was the pick of the Goatacre bowlers.

Dawson made the top score of 30 in Goatacre's reply of 79 all out, with Sam Thomas (7-1-27-4) and Will Eaton (4.5-0-12-3) the pick of the Malmesbury attack. Swindon moved into second place after a 66 run win over Devizes. Swindon were all out for 133 and then bowled out Devizes for 67.

Under 15s Division

SWINDON beat Westbury by four wickets.

Westbury were bowled out for 117 in 43.2 overs, with Coxall top scoring with 25.

Chris Wells (9-0-17-2) and Paul Jefferies (8.2-3-14-4) were the pick of the Swindon bowlers. Steve Laggett (24) and Richard Arkley (20 not out) were the major contributors as Swindon made 118 for six in reply. Mehdi Ibrahim (8-2-26-2) was the best of the Westbury bowlers.
