BREAM fed well at the Wilts Angling Open on the Bristol Avon at Barton Farm on Sunday.
Vic Bush, from Bradford, won with 38 lb 15 oz, from Steve Martin, of Westbury, with 19 lb 12 oz.
Trowbridge veteran Dave Baker was third with a bonus carp weighing 12 lb 8 oz adding to his roach catch for a total weight of 15 lb 6 oz.
Other placings: 4. Howard Adams Devizes 12 lb 8 oz; 5. Colin Gittings Chippenham 11 lb 14 oz; 6. Mick Martin Trowbridge 10 lb 4 oz.
WEIGHTS were fairly even in the inter-club event between Calne and Pewsey at Hazeland on Sunday.
Pewsey took team honours with 28 lb 5 oz to Calne’s 26 lb 4 oz as Kevin Moore, of Pewsey, took top spot with 8 lb 7 oz of chub.
Gary Dodson, of Calne, was a close runner up with 8 lb 6 oz of chub and dace, followed by Jesse Edwards, of Calne, with 8 lb of chub and dace.
Other placings: 4. Jim Broomham Pewsey 6 lb 8 oz; 5. Chris Rushton Pewsey 4 lb 15 oz; 6. Lee Pocock Pewsey 4 lb 5 oz.
