CAVALIER were denied a third win on the spin as they suffered a 4-1 defeat at home to Corsham Park on Sunday.

Victory for Martin Perrett’s Corsham side was their fifth on the bounce and sees them consolidate fourth place in the Division Three table.

Kadir Ayhan and Darren Applegate scored in the first half whilst Kevin Bance and Applegate’s second of the game put Park four-up before Roger Wiltshire netted Cavalier’s consolation.

With leaders The Grapes United in Knockout Cup action, FC Bradford moved level on points with their rivals at the summit after their 10-4 triumph at home to Evana Designs.

On his return to action after several games out through injury, Ashley Styles came straight back into Bradford’s starting XI and he proved his worth with a hat-trick.

Steve Bryant also netted a treble whilst Jimmy Meade, Harry Hamlin, Charlie Powell and Damien Moran were all also on target.

Milo Pearson with two and a goal each from Troy Thomas and Jason Lincoln made up Evana’s total.

Stonewood Sundays (BFC) were the highest scorers of the day, their storming 19-1 victory over basement side London Road boosting their goal difference as they kept their push for a top-two finish alive.

Kris Beasley helped himself to nine of the goals, Dan Lardner netted four, Ashley Barnett and Andy Flynn scored two each with singles for Mike Flynn and Scott Dawdry who scored from the penalty spot making up the 19.

Matt Rusling’s Trowbridge Wanderers side ended a three-match losing run with a 4-1 victory over a FC Lacock side who were once promotion hopefuls, but after a fourth straight defeat, are at best now looking at a top five finish.

Kieran Hard got Lacock off to the perfect start when he gave them the lead but Wanderers got back on level terms after Rob Elliott threaded the ball to Kieran Ramsey, who netted to make it one-each at the break.

Wanderers went in front when Ramsey scored his second of the morning after being set up by Bradley King-Taylor before Nick Gleeson came off the bench to bag a late brace.
